CANoe is the unique development platform for professional network development
of the bus systems CAN, LIN, MOST, FlexRay, J1587 and many CAN-based protocols.
CANoe subdivides the development process into three phases. First the user
creates and verifies the communication matrix using CANoe and fully simulates
the communication and behaviour of the applications. In phase two individual
real ECUs are tested in this virtual node system. The third phase involves
testing of the entire real network, where CANoe is used to check the system.
Phase two is typically used by suppliers who wish to check ECUs they have
already developed in the later working environment. The two other development
phases affect primarily automotive OEMs.
